Biography of Yullia Rabinovich

Yullia Rabinovich is a private violin instructor and a local performer. She began her studies at the age of three with her father. At the age of seven she won second place in the city’s young talent competition. This experience further ignited her passion for music performance.

After emigrating from Russia to Israel in the early 90’s, she continued to study music privately. Her second immigration, this time to Montreal, allowed her to meet and study with renowned musician, teacher and painter Eleonora Turovsky. The experience proved to be unforgettable and introduced Yullia to superb instruction, as well as a high standard of musical craftsmanship. After moving to British Columbia, Yullia continued her studies with Angela Cavadas, a well known teacher and a violinist. Through her education and musical career Yullia has played with various local orchestras, including the British Columbia Chamber Orchestra, Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, Burnaby Symphony Orchestra and New Westminster Orchestra. Yullia is a founder and member of the musical duo City Muse. She is also part of the music staff at the Academy of Music and Dance and continues to perform locally as a freelance musician.
